Denbighshire based Solar Energy Specialists have fraughted attempts to be bought out by a Power Company. Carbon Zero Renewables based in St Asaph, was in negotiations over the acquisition that started back in April. However Gareth Jones Managing Director, decided the deal “wasn’t right.” With only hours left, before he was due to sign over the well-known North Wales Business. The Carbon Zero brand has been a formidable force in North Wales since its inception in 2009. It has won close to 60 business awards and has allowed Entrepreneur owner Gareth Jones, to venture into new markets such as leisure and training.
Gareth commented “ The deal was not right and two risky. These talks have been ongoing for months and to pull the deal last minute was disappointing but it didn’t feel right. In business and in life you have to follow your instincts and this wasn’t right. The Power company would have acquired all rights to the Carbon Zero brand inc names and logos. I am proud to associate myself with the Carbon Zero brand and we have lived and breathed the turbulent renewable energy industry or ‘solar coaster’ as we call it. I am the Carbon Zero Brand, as well as my associated businesses such as UK Leisure Living, Carbon Zero Group and You Train. If you thought selling a house was stressful! Try selling a business! “
Carbon Zero is firmly still in the hands of Gareth Jones, leading the helm as Managing Director. They are now ramping up for a busy period, as the solar feed in tariffs will cease to exist after April 2019. The company plans for steady growth in 2019, with non-tariff related new builds and an influx in Electric Car Charging Installations for Businesses. Carbon Zero is well known for its World Famous Solar Installation at Bodnant Gardens, where it was recognized as one of the Top 5 solar projects in the World.
